Pay

Compensation varies according to the stage of service, activities performed, and additional payments officially recognized for the relevant period. As a reference, monthly compensation can range from approximately 34,000 UAH during training to significantly higher amounts when a service member participates in operations and meets the requirements for combat-related payments.

During the 52-day training period:

24,000 UAH — base pay

approximately “US$ 540”

+ 10,000 UAH — additional payment

approximately “US$ 225”

TOTAL: 34,000 UAH

02

COMBAT COMPENSATION

The amount of 460,000 UAH (approx. US$ 10,273) represents the monthly cap for the main combat-related bonuses under the military compensation system.

This amount is not paid automatically simply because a service member belongs to a combat unit, remains at the front, or participates in a single mission.

Additional compensation is calculated according to the activity actually performed, the operational area, the number of qualifying days, and the corresponding official records.

DIRECT PARTICIPATION IN COMBAT

May generate a bonus of up to:

100,000 UAH (approx. US$ 2,233)

The amount depends on the number of days officially recognized as direct participation in combat.

OPERATIONAL ZONE

Depending on the area and the conditions in which the mission is carried out, additional payments may include:

70,000 UAH (approx. US$ 1,563)

or

170,000 UAH (approx. US$ 3,797)

These amounts are also calculated according to the number of days officially recorded in the corresponding zone.

ASSAULT ACTIONS

Certain qualifying assault actions may generate additional payments of:

20,000 UAH per day (approx. US$ 447)

or

40,000 UAH per day (approx. US$ 893)

These payments are only considered when the activity meets the official criteria and the service member’s participation is properly confirmed and documented.

04

EXAMPLE GIVEN

In a given month, a service member may accumulate:

100,000 UAH (approx. US$ 2,233)

Direct participation in combat

-

170,000 UAH (approx. US$ 3,797)

Operational-zone allowance

-

200,000 UAH (approx. US$ 4,467)

Payments for qualifying assault actions

The gross calculation would be:

470,000 UAH (approx. US$ 10,497)

However, these bonuses are subject to a monthly cap.

THE MAXIMUM IS 460,000 UAH (approx. US$ 10,273) IN COMBAT BONUSES

06

HOW PAYROLL WORKS

The first payment may take up to approximately two months to reach the service member’s account.

A newly incorporated service member must first be entered into the administrative and financial systems.

This includes:

unit registration · assigned position · military documentation · banking information · financial registration · payroll inclusion

If processing is completed after the payroll closing date, the payment may move to the following cycle.

THE MONEY IS NOT LOST

Amounts owed for service already performed remain recorded and are paid once the financial processing is completed.

The simplest way to understand the system is:

You work the month first, and payment for that period is processed afterward.

Example:

September — month worked

After the payroll period is closed:

October 10 — September base pay

October 25 — September bonuses and additional payments

10TH OF THE MONTH

Base pay

25TH OF THE MONTH

Bonuses and additional payments
